May 17th..

Woke up at 7am today. Got ready and came down for tea n breakfast.
I went to the clinic with my cousin who is expecting her second child for her routine checkup.
We picked up Aashay from his school some time later. It was nice to see him play with his favourite friend Tevia.
On our way back home, we dropped in at the Marshall's for some shopping....
I ended up buying a blingy, shocking pink bag and some nuts....

I am back home and on the deck again. It's sunny and cool at the same time. I can sense that I am loving this ambience so much. I walk on the grass in the sun. I click some snaps...
I come inside and upload the snaps while having some coffee...

Life is so peaceful....so calm...
Let me enjoy it at least for a few days that I am here in USA before I go back to the hustle-bustle of Mumbai again...

May 16th..Colorado Springs!

Yesterday was a long day but totally worth its while.
Feeling a bit sluggish today. I guess, I would take it easy.
My nephew did not go to school because he has caught cold.
Both of us went on the back side deck of our house. We plucked little yellow flowers that grew in the grass and arranged them in a water filled vase. He wanted to keep it in the sitting room so we kept it there. Then it was time to play some game with him. We had few soldiers each in our team and we fought. Aashay's team was the winner of course....

Sunday May 15th...an early morning in Colorado Springs..

I have adjusted well to the timings here...no jet lag surprisingly.
5.30 am, I have woken up. I try to go back to sleep, but no success. I am feeling fresh after a sound sleep of 6 hours.
Finally, I get up, tidy up my bed, brush my teeth and I walk around in the house.
Its so calm and tranquil.
I make myself some tea after 10 surya namaskars.
With steaming hot tea in hand, I look outside the window. Its beautiful outside. I can see wet trees n shining leaves...everything is still..peaceful! I can sense a mild wave of a cool breeze.
An american neighbour is out with her two dogs. Its drizzling but she is normally dressed in a t and pyjamas...after two steps, she lights her cigarette and walks off...
There is some activity happening in the window of another neighbour on the other side of the house. I can see the whole family moving around the table. Some nice breakfast probably...

I ll get ready now.... we will be going out for some sightseeing and visit some relatives too...

The Colorado Springs to Boulder was a one and half hour drive....before that, we dropped in to have some American breakfast at the Burger King! Some pancakes with maple syrup, a cookie, packets full of hash browns....and with all this we got some coffee free...

After the typical American breakfast, we were treated with Indian snacks for lunch which included pav-bhaji, kothimbir vadi and mint pulao at relatives' place in Boulder.
From Boulder, we went to Estes park which was a 45 min drive from Boulder village. It was a beautifully scenic drive with snow drenched trees.
The Estes park is situated at the bottom of the rocky mountains.
A walk through this quaint little village was absolutely enjoyable...and the home-made cookies in one of the shops were yum....

A dinner at an Indian restaurant in Colorado Springs, on return, was very tasty too....!

USA ... On vacation...!

Last time when I visited the USA, it was for professional reason.
I performed with my drama group all over USA.. East coast n West Coast. It was a fun filled but a very hectic trip.
This time, I planned a trip just for myself and all by myself.
I would visit my cousin in Colorado Springs. I would stay with her for a few days. I would experience their routine and general life...!
So the itinerary is fixed. I would be visiting my friends as well...and a cruise to Bahamas...
I am going to write about this unique trip in my blog...as and when I get the time...
Do read..!
Ciao..!
